Babyface

Born Kenneth Edmonds in 1959 Indianapolis, the man known as Babyface is a modern Quincy Jones. BabyfaceA gifted performer in his own right, Babyface's forte is songwriting and production.

That combination has led him to work with artists as diverse as Boyz II Men, Celine Dion, Eric Clapton and Madonna. With frequent collaborator Antonio "LA" Reid, the two formed LaFace, a wildly successful record label that featured Usher, Outkast and Toni Braxton among others.

Babyface has won numerous Grammy Awards and remains one of those rare triple threats who has won for performance, songwriting and production. Among his many credits are the smash hits End of the Road, Change the World and I'm Your Baby Tonight.

With a soft style that appeals to crossover audiences, Babyface has his fingertips firmly on the pulse of music buyers worldwide. His solo performance projects, which include the obligatory unplugged and Christmas albums, continue to sell well. In 2004, Babyface took time from his busy writing and production schedule to perform with other artists on Bruce Springsteen's Vote for Change tour.
